Final essay -Country-

I will introduce New Zealand. New Zealand’s weather is really good. And there are no the heat of late summer. The north area is the subtropical zone, and south zone is the tropical zone. The most worm month is 12, 1, 2. And most cold month is 6,7,8. The famous dishes of New Zealand is a lamb, pork, deer meat, salmon, kiwi fruit. The kiwi fruit is the New Zealand's famous dessert of people.

In the main city, there are high rank restaurantes, but recently people like a cafe and bar because they can more relax and easy to go and enjoy. And there are a lot of food of other country, for example Japanese food, Indian food, Islamic food, Italian food, Mexican food, Chinese food, Malaysian food, and Thai food. New Zealand have over 900 Asian restaurant.

And New Zealand people can drink liquor everyday in almost night spot, restaurant, and cafe. We can buy them everyday in wine shops and super market. But we can't buy them under 18 years old. This is the different points between New Zealand and Japan.

We can enjoy the shopping because there are an art&kraft, a market, a gallery, and a high rank designer shop. The Maori's tree, bone, green stone and carving are very famous souvenir. And accessories also very popular. Now, in New Zealand, many people make a work of art with use a stone, a tree, a glass and iron.

BOOK REVIEW -The Carnival-

I read this book this time. This book’s name is “The Carnival.”

It wasn’t good day. Mouse and Jojo had to look after Pip. Pip was in a bad mood. He cried and cried. Then he cried some more. He said that please take me to the park, and Jojo asked that you want to go to the park. Then “Nooooo!” wailed Pip. And his small hand hit the magic button. Whoooosh!!!! He heard music. He saw balloons. A clown gave Pip a red balloon. That made him happy. Then, the empty float stopped next to them. “This is for you,” said the driver. “Hop on.” The children climbed on the float. The crowds cheered as they made their way up the street. Pip was laughing and clapping his hands. “We had better take him home when we reach the lift,” said Jojo. “He gets sick when he’s too excited.” They got off at the lift. “Goodbye,”shouted everyone. “Come back to Strange Street one day!” “We will,“ promised the children. “Well, that cheered you up, didn’t it Pip?” said Sam, when they landed. But Pip’s lovely red balloon had gone. He opened his mouth and said “No!”

I thought that Pip was slightly selfish though I felt sorry for her. But it is interesting story.

BOOK REVIEW -Key Trouble-

I read this book this time. The name is “Key Trouble.” The cover designed a child.

One day, Gran had come to stay, She had presents for the children. She had bought each of them a Super Squirter. “Oh no!” groaned Dad. “A Super Squirter! That’s brilliant” said Chip. “Thank you, Gran.” I think perhaps squirter is a toy such as a gun for children. The children went outside to play with the Super Squirters. “Wait for me,” called Gran. Dad and Mum watched them. “Just look at Gran!” sighed Dad. “It’s like having a naughty girl to stay.” Gran had a surprise for Mum and Dad. She had some photograph albums. “What are these?” asked Dad. “Old photographs,” said Gran. “I thought you might like them.” “Old photographs of what?” asked Dad. Some of the photographs were of Mum when she was a little girl. “Look at Mum,” said Biff. “She was quite pretty when she was little.” “And look at Gran,” said Chip. “She was quite young once upon a time.” Biff and Chip went out to play. Gran showed Kipper some more photographs. “Here I am when I was a little girl,” said Gran. “Why is everything grey coloured?” asked Kipper. “Was it all like that in those days?” “No,” laughed Gran, “only the photographs.” I think this Gran is really kind person. At last, Kipper turned off the television. He went to find Biff, but she wasn’t in her room. Then Kipper saw that the magic key was glowing. “Oh no!” he thought. “I’m all by my self!”

The magic took Kipper into a strange grey world. I think it is interesting. “Everything is grey,” thought Kipper. “This is just like the film I saw on television and photographs.” Two men were trying to move a piano. They didn’t see Kipper. There is no color, so I think Kipper don’t like all this grey. He seems want to go back home. I think this is the silly adventure. And he experienced some adventure in there.

It was time for dinner. Gran and the children came downstairs. “Have you washed your hands?” asked Dad. “And where’s Kipper?” asked Mum. “Well,” said Biff. “We’ve made a little surprise for you.” Kipper came into the room. Mum and Dad looked at him. “Oh Kipper!” gasped Mum. “Oh goodness me!” said Dad. “Is this your idea of a joke?” “You look so … different,” said Mum. I think Gran has made him look like a man in an old film. And Mum decided to take him to see a doctor. Kipper went up stairs. Biff and Chip went with him. Kipper picked up the magic key. “I’m sorry,” said Kipper. “I didn’t mean to be nasty to the key.” The key gave a little tiny glow. At that moment all Kipper’s color came back. I’m glad he don’t have to go to the doctor.

It is really interesting story.

BOOK REVIEW -The Flying Machine-

I read this book. This book’s name is “The Flying Machine.” The cover is designed the two people.

Nadim was at the airport with his mum and dad. They had been to America for a holiday. Now it was time to fly home. Nadim’s dad was nervous. “I don’t like flying,” he said, “I hate taking off.” “I don’t hate it,” said Nadim. “I love it.” On the flight there was a surprise for Nadim. The steward asked him if he wanted to see the controls. Nadim was excited. He had always wanted to see the flight deck of an aeroplane. “Oh brilliant!” he said. “Yes, please!” The steward took Nadim and his dad through the aeroplane. “These planes are huge,” said Nadim. “They hold about four hundred people,” said the steward. “That’s a lot of people in one plane,” said Nadim. Nadim and his dad went on to the flight deck. They met the captain. “We’re flying on auto-pilot,” said the captain. “The plane is flying by itself.” Nadim looked at all the controls. “I’d like to be a pilot,” he said. I thought that I was terrible to be able to step on the driver's seat of the airplane. I want a pilot to become him. “It takes a long time to learn,” said the Captain. “But what’s to stop you?” “Don’t let him take over the controls just yet,” joked Nadim’s dad. “I’m a nervous passenger.” “Oh Dad!” said Nadim.

After nadim got home, he went to play at Biff and Chip’s house. Anneena was already there. Nadim told everyone about his holiday. “I went on to the flight deck of the aeroplane,” he said. “I’d love to be a pilot,” said Anneena. Mum called Biff and Chip. They had to go downstairs to help wash up. And they use the magic key, they experienced a lot of things. They really enjoyed.

It was very nice story.

BOOK REVIEW -The Blue Eye-

I read this book. This book’s name is “The Blue Eye.” The cover is designed of course blue. And some people get into a helicopter. I was anxious because a title was singular not a plural number.

Mum was tidying up. Biff and Wilf were helping her. They found an old case. “It’s quite heavy,” said Wilf. “I wonder what’s inside it.” Mum opened the case and laughed. “Some of Dad’s old toys, she said. They called Dad and showed him the toys. Dad laughed. “Well,” he said. “They’re not much use. Most of them are broken. I don’t know why I kept them.” Biff pulled a bag out of the case. “What’s in this bag?” she asked. “It’s quite heavy.” The bag was full of marbles. Biff tipped them out on a tray. “They’re all different,” she said. “Some of them are beautiful.” Dad told Mum to throw the old toys away, but he said Biff could keep the marbles. Biff and Wilf went up to Biff’s room. They looked at the marbles. “What a collection,” said wilf. “There are all sorts – big ones and small ones.” Biff picked up the biggest marble of all. “See this blue one,” she said. “It’s a beauty.” The blue eye is not really eye, it’s a beauty blue ball!! Wilf put the marbles back in the bag. “Let’s play with them outside,” he said. Suddenly the magic key began to glow. “Oh no!” said Biff. “I don’t want the key to glow. I don’t want a magic adventure. I want to play with the marbles. The magic took them to a town. And they were in a narrow street. The houses were close together. And they have every experience there. Everybody aims at a blue ball. They escaped desperately and protected a ball safely. And it understood that it was the thing of the princess. And then, Biff and wilf were sorry the adventure was over. “Well,” said Biff. “Let’s go outside and play with the marbles.” She looked in the bag. “Oh no!” she said. “There are only four left.”

This is really interesting story. It was good that I could solve the mystery of eyes.

BOOK REVIEW -The Quest-

I read the book. This book’s name is “The Quest.” The cover is designed one person and one little child.

“I’m writing a story about a quest,” said Wilma, “but I’m stuck. I don’t know what to put next.” “I don’t know what a quest is,” said Biff, “so I don’t think I can help you.” “It’s a journey that someone makes to look for something that’s been lost,” said Wilma. Biff still didn’t understand what Wilma meant, so Wilma read the story to her. After that she said that the story of Wilma is really good, brilliant!”

After Biff had gone, Wilma picked up her pen and began to write her story about the quest. “A girl should bring back the crystal bell,” she thought. “Yes, a girl should go on the quest.” Suddenly, the magic key began to glow, and Wilma was taken into a magic adventure.

The name of there is “the Land of Ulm.” The land was cold and bare. And he met a gnome. And he does a lot of various experiences with the gnome.

Biff came back from the dentist. ”Sorry I was a long time,” she said. “Did you finish your story? Did they get the bell back?” Wilma gave Biff her book. “Why don’t you find out?” said Wilma. “You can read it if you like.”

It is really interesting story. I feel this gnome is very pretty.

BOOK REVIEW -Green Island-

I read this book. The name of this book is “Green Island.” The cover is designed a man and four children.

Mr Johnson took his class away for the week. They went to a big house called Seabay House. Ms May went too. The children were excited. Seabay House was near the sea and there were lots of interesting things to do. I feel it seems really interesting. And in there, Mr Johnson gave the children a map. Then he took the children for a long walk. After a while they stopped for a rest. The children looked at their maps. Mr Johnson showed them the places they could see. “Your map’s upside down, Biff,” said Wilf. Nadim pointed to a little island out at sea. “What’s that island called?” he asked. “Look on your maps,” said Mr Johnson. “Who can tell me what the island is called?” Chip and Anneena knew. “It’s called Green Island,” they said.

The next day, the children did a beach study. Some children worked with Mr Johnson. They made squares on the beach and looked at everything in each square. Biff found a shell with a crab inside it. I have found the beautiful shell when I’m 10 years old. Chip and Anneena found a seagull. It couldn’t fly. “Oh dear!” said Mr Johnson. “It can’t fly because it has oil on its feathers. Oil is hard to get off, so be careful, everyone. Mind you don’t get oil on you.” “How do we get the oil off the seagull?” asked Chip. I thought that someone could hardly forgive it to do a terrible thing. I thought that very sorry for seagull. Mr Johnson took the children to see Mrs Honey. I think she is a doctor of animals. “If anyone can help the seagull, Mrs Honey can,” said Mr Johnson. “This poor old gull needs a clean,” said Mrs Honey. She looked at Anneena and Chip. ”And so do you,” she said. “Oil terrible stuff,” said Mrs Honey. “You can see what it does to animals and birds if it spills into the sea.” “It is terrible,” said Mrs May. I thought so too!! “I’m having trouble getting it off Chip and Annennal” “I feel really sorry for the seagull,” said Chip. “What will happen to the seagull?” asked Wilf. “Its feathers will be damaged,” said Mrs Honey. “So first we’ll clean the oil off. Then we’ll look after it for a week or two. It has to get strong again, and its feathers have to get better. Then we’ll let it go.

At the end of the week, there was a party. Mrs May played her guiar and everyone sang songs. Mrs Honey came. She told the children stories about some of the animals she had looked after. “But you have the best story to tell,” she said. “It isn’t every school trip that becomes famous!” A photographer came. She made everyone stand in a group. Then she took a photograph. “We’re going to be in the newspaper,” said Wilf. “We are going to be famous.” “I’ve never been famous before,” said Chip. “I wonder what it feels like.” The next day, the story of Green Island was in the newspaper. The children were excited. “I’m going to buy three newspapers,” said Chip. “One for me, one for Mum and Dad, and one for Gran.” “Now I’m famous I don’t feel any different,” said Wilf.

I think that it is very good that their activity appears in a newspaper. It is really interesting story.

BOOK REVIEW -The finest in the Land-

This time, I read the book. The book’s name is “The Finest in the Land.” The cover is designed the man and six children.

Anneena came round to play with Biff and Chip. Wilf and Wilma came too, and so did Nadim. “I’m six next week,” Kipper told them. “Do you want to come to my birthday?” “Six? You’re catching up with me,” said Wilma. Mum took Kipper to the shops. When he had gone, Wilma had an idea. “Let’s form a band. Then we can play happy birthday to Kipper.” Kipper’s birthday is next week. So they decided practice the birthday song. Biff liked the idea of forming a band. The boys were not so sure. “We can’t play instruments,” said Wilf. “You and Chip can play the kazoo,” said Bilf. “Nadim can play the tambourine.” “And we can all sing,” said Anneena. I thought this is small band team!! When they were practicing the song, suddenly the magic key began to glow. The magic took the children on another adventure. “Help!” called Anneena. “We still have our instruments.” “I hope my guitar doesn’t get broken,” said Wilma.

The magic took the children back in time. It took them to the Middle Ages. “Who are those people?” asked Nadim. “Why are they doing tricks?” “They must be entertainers,” said Anneena. “I think they are pracitising.” They are talked with some entertainers. And a man made everyone go to the castle. The children ran behind. In the castle, there is a man standing. The name of the man is Duke. The Duke was waiting with his wife and daughter. They looked at the entertainers. The entertainers gave a low bow. The Duke’s daughter looked surprised. “We’d better bow as well,” whispered Wilf. “It’s not every day we meet a duke.” The Duke peered at the children. “The musicians are very young,” he said. “They are the finest in the land,” said John. “They had better be good,” said the Duke. “I am very fond of music.” “They have made up a song for you,” said John.

The entertainers went to practice. They were still not very good. But while they repeated an exercise every day, they became gradually good. And it is finally a day of happy birthday party. In home, Kipper came in. “What have you all been doing?” he asked. “Just messing about,” said Biff. It was Kipper’s sixth birthday. The band played Happy Birthday. “That was brilliant,” said Kipper. “I didn’t know you were such good musicians.” “Of course we are,” said Wilma. “We’re the finest in the land.”
It was really interesting story.

New Zealand report

I compiled that I thought in doubt in New Zealand as a report. I want to introduce it this time.


1. Introduction　
Kumamoto is an old Japanese castle town with both old and new streets. However, New Zealand’s towns seem a little bit different from Kumamoto. The buildings, the cars and sidewalks, all look different on Internet, and the sights led me to study of this theme this time.
To research thus, I’m going to compare around the town in Auckland and Kumamoto especially mailboxes, trash, bus stops, and so on.

2. In Kumamoto 　
Many modern roads in Kumamoto are classified as roads which have space for cars to pass and lanes which only have space for space for walkers to pass, and they are divided by lines and steps. Also every road usually has a signal. There is no roundabout.
In Kumamoto, we take out the garbage to see a garbage collection calendar. We can get it from the city hall or nearest civic center. The garbage collection day, differs by the precinct of the elementary school. For example, in Musashigaoka where I live, garbage to burn is collected on Tuesdays and Fridays, paper is collected on Wednesdays, reusable resources for example empty bottles, empty cans, pans, old clothes, used batteries, bicycles are on the second and the fourth Thursdays, reclaiming garbage is on the second and the fourth Mondays, and PET bottles are on the first and third Thursdays. Moreover to put out large-sized garbage, we need a prior application (and we are charged a fee) from October, 2001. We must contact to the large-sized garbage receptionist center for the large-sized garbage for which a prior application is necessary.
For old clothes, there are some recycle shops in Kumamoto, but there are no clothing collection bins on the streets. If we have unwanted clothes, some people in Kumamoto use the recycle shops. In recycle shops, we can sell clothes, baby-cars, child seats and so on, and other people can buy it cheaply, but recently many people use net auctions.
　　Next, let us look at buses in Kumamoto. The outer walls of buses in Kumamoto depend on the bus companies, and the benches and roofs at bus stops are small and uncomfortable. Also there are time tables but no posters to advertise things of the bus stops, but there are many posters in buses.

3. In NZ
Do you know what a roundabout is? It is a circular place where roads meet and where cars drive around until they arrive at the road that they want to turn into. We can find this in many places in NZ. There are traffic lights in intersections of only one-lane roads intersection, but otherwise we can’t find traffic lights.
In Auckland, there is a garbage can at each house. The color of the garbage can is blue, and the cover’s color is yellow. On its front, it is printed the city name “Auckland.” The garbage is collected every Tuesday in the Titirangi area. In Auckland, people don’t have to separate garbage, but every second Tuesday, people can throw out recyclable garbage, like papers and plastic. Furthermore, every six months, people can throw out the large-sized garbage like wood and old furniture.
For old clothes, there are old clothing bins. When we walk on the street, we notice that there are clothing bins. People who live in Auckland put old clothes into the boxes. This system is a charity for homeless and poor people. Clothes that people put into clothing bins are collected by organizations in each town. For example, one bin was labeled as follows:

New Zealand people also often use buses, but there are some differences between the looks of buses in Kumamoto and Auckland. In Auckland, some buses look the same, but many buses are painted with advertisements, for example of food, wine and clothing stores. These make the buses look very cute from the outside. Bus stops in NZ are big and there is a roof and a bench. Moreover, on the outer wall of bus stops in NZ there are posters to advertise things, and these posters are exchanged regularly.

4. Conclusion　
There is no roundabout in Kumamoto, so there are a lot of signals on the road. On the other hand, in Auckland we can find there are many roundabouts. This system can save electricity of traffic lights, so it’s kind to the environment.
In Kumamoto, people must throw out the garbage on different days depending on categories, like burnable garbage, paper, reusable resources, reclaiming garbage, and PET bottles, In Auckland, on the other hand, garbage categories are only burnable garbage and unburnable garbage. Moreover in Kumamoto when people throw out large-sized garbage, they must pay a fixed fee for each piece. On the other hand, in NZ people don’t need to pay when they throw out the large-sized garbage. This point is a big difference.
Also, Kumamoto, there are many recycle shops, but we can’t find clothing bins on the street. Japanese people have unnecessary clothes, they use net auction or recycle shops. On the other hand, Auckland people use clothing bins.
Finally in Kumamoto, the outer wall of the bus depends on the company and the benches and roofs at bus stops are cheaply, but in Auckland many buses are painted with advertisements, for example food, wine and clothing stores. Moreover on the outer wall of bus stops in Auckland there are posters to advertise things, and these posters are exchanged regularly, but in Kumamoto there are no posters to advertise things at bus stops, but there are many posters in buses.

August 25th

It was late that the bus which I always got on came and was surprised today. However, it was good because I arrived safely. I took a class and went to the Harbour Bridge. We did valuable experience to pass on a bridge. However, I was very fierce and have cried. Then, an assistant to me "are you all right?" I was glad to say that "you could walk very well." And he said also "look"! it was very good scenery, so I watched it. I was impressed. The people of the TV station came to the Harbour Bridge. An interviewer was very pretty. And I returned to the school. Because ice wanted to eat, my and my friend went in Lynn Mall. The member is me, Sanae, Mari, Keiko. I ate ice of the triple. And I came back from Lynn mall to the house. I took a bath and returned an email to a younger sister. The rice is spaghetti and salad and avocado at night. It was delicious. Because I was tired today, I slept at half past 8.

August 24th

I got up today at 9:00 a.m. The breakfast was sausage, a pancake, ice. I washed underwear and had you answer a questionnaire to use by the report of the school and talked about Valentine. Valentine's Day does not seem to have it not to mention white day in the New Zealand either. I was surprised very much. Though it rained in the morning of today, it stops now. The lunch ate a cheese scone, minestrone and ice. And the Beijing Olympics were finished by today. I wanted to watch the Japanese item on TV. Today, I slept well early.

August 23rd

I got up today at half past 8. The breakfast was French toast and sausage. Because there is not cash anymore, I am going to do shopping by a credit card today. Franc sent me to New Lynn. I went from there to me, Keiko, Mari, Ayako, で downtown. I went down in a neighborhood of Queen Street and took a walk. At first we went to the pretty cosmetics shop. I bought a porch, a palette, eye shadow. And I bought a magnet and a key holder and went to West field. I bought six manuka honey cookies. I bought a very pretty antique-like perfume bottle afterwards. Though it was time for lunch, I did not eat because there was not money. I got some Kiwi burgers which Keiko ate. And I met a very pretty clock when, in addition, I walked Queen Street. Though I was at a loss, I decided on the clock of the handle of Kiwi. Keiko selected clock of the Harbour Bridge, Mari, Ayako as the handle of the New Zealand coin. I was have been 45 dollars for a good souvenir. Then I ate a delicious cookie of Mrs. Higgins and returned to the house by bus. I returned an email to a younger sister and took a bath and I ate ice and watched the Olympics and slept at half past 9. Good night.

August 22nd

It is a day to do matter for inquiry today. I talked to Keiko until around half past 10. Then I did a PC and made it a lunch early. I am going to go in New Lynn tomorrow. Fran seems to see me to there. Yeah! I slept early today.

August 21st

I did squash today. Squash seems to be famous sports in the New Zealand. However, we seem to have become tennis because we were not good. The lunch ate noodle. And I took a class. And I returned to the house. Fran took me to Lynn Mall with Fran today. I ate ice cream and bought lip cream for a younger sister. I chose macademia nut and the berry & white chocolate for taste of the ice. I could buy mayonnaise else in various ways and was happy.

August 20th

I must say good-bye to New Zealand in ten days more. I am slightly lonely. However, the feeling that wants to return to the house is strong early. I want to talk with a family early. It was hose riding day today. I was able to get very well. The horse is quiet and is very much. It was so good horse. I returned to the house, and I watched the Beijing Olympics. I did not think that the broadcast contents of the New Zealand Olympics were so different from Japan. In the New Zealand, a canoe, a yacht, cycling, iron man's race flowed mainly. The judo was not called off at all in the New Zealand. I ate a pizza today at night. I had it of two pieces, but was surprised because a pineapple was in both. I was very happy.

August 19th

I was up at 7:00 and went to school today. And I went to the beach today since I arrived at the school. It was very cold. It was not so beautiful. I watched a fur seal. Tina bought hot chocolate for 27 people to return. It was delicious even if I took it. And I bought a berry and custard cake. There was a lot of whip. It was 5.5 dollars. But It was delicious. And I bought chow mein after having arrived at a school. However, it was not delicious at all. Japanese chow mein is more delicious than New Zealand chow mein. I love Japanese foods. Today's class was a charade. Our group is me, Sanae, Shiori, Ayaka, and Junki. It was very interesting. I laughed a lot. A wireless remote controller of the television disappeared after returning to the house and was serious. I looked for it very much. However, I was not found. Today's rice which got together was a ram, a sweet potato, green peas. It was very delicious. Simon seemed to be ill-conditioned, and stress by work and the child care seems to have been said with a cause when she went to the hospital today. It seems to be serious. It is worry. I slept at 9:00.

August 18th

It was a free morning coat in the morning of today. Therefore I got up today at half past 8. I ate a lot of breakfast, a pizza, tart, salad, ice cream, croissant. I went to school and took a class on that day and returned. Good night.

August 17th

I was up at 8:00 and ate breakfast today. And I went in Agradome. I was able to watch a lot of sheep. I stepped on the gondola and went to the top of the mountain. I ran and was very happy. The lunch ate curry and miso soup. It was delicious. There were a lot of cakes, too; was extremely glad. I reached Unitec at half past 5. Then I returned to the house, and today's rice which got together was a pizza. This was very delicious, too. And I became full because Simone made apple tart for me today and ate it. I slept today at half past 9.

August 16th

It is trip to long-awaited Waitomo today. I gathered in the school at 8:15 of the morning. I bought ice and, on one's way to a waitomo attendant, ate. It is apricot and Ho-key Poe-key. It was delicious. And I went to Caves. A earth-firefly was very beautiful. It seemed to be a star. I ate lunch in a place called Rose lands at noon. It was a barbecue. Meat was very delicious. I ate curry after a long absence. I talked with me, Ayako, Nozomi, Keiko, Erika at night. I was very happy. I went to watch the show of the Maori by bus together afterwards. I was fierce. I listened to the song more and ate hangi. It was not delicious. It was half past 10 that I came back to the hotel. The Beijing Olympics were broadcasted on TV. I slept at half past 2.

August 15th

I made a muffin today. It was very delicious. Though I made it with Keiko, I was able to do it very well. The person who baked it said this muffin is very good. We played cards again after having finished making it. When I returned to the house, the rice which got together was sushi today. There was the miso soup, too. It was very delicious. In addition, I made the tomorrow's preparations after I sent an email to a younger sister, and having taken a bath and watched the Olympics. And I ate a muffin and took the tea. Good night.

August 14th

I went for cruising today. It was cold. Then I went to the town. Because juice and a cake were free of charge, I ordered a chocolate caramel muffin and orange juice in the ship. It was good that I accepted preventing motion sickness because I got seasick. I came back to the school and returned with Ayako by bus today. I sent an email to a younger sister since I returned to the house. It was a birthday of Lily today. Congratulations. Fran cut hair and became you very much today. Today's rice which got together was udon. I made it with oneself. It was delicious. Good night.

August 13th

I went out to the New Zealand elementary school to play today. I was surprised to study the Japanese as for all the students. What is the name? How old are you? And they answered even if asked about these question, so I was surprised. I was hungry very much today when I returned to the house. Therefore I gave bread and salad when I said to franc that I was hungry very much. It was very delicious. And the rice was Thailand food in the night of today. Though It was delicious, and it was very hot. Fran made an apple pie for me today. Because I promised for some time, I was glad. A lot of apples appeared and were very delicious. I ate, and the ice was happy, too. Good night.

August 12th

We were going to do hose riding, but it was changed today in the Silvia park because it rained. Everyone bought a lot of all food. I talked with Keiko a lot and returned to the house. Sanae is homesickness now. It seems to be caused by the fact that rice is not delicious. I ate ice of the berry yogurt today. It was delicious.

August 11th

I went to the museum today. I was able to watch a Maori. I took the photograph with the person of the Maori. Keiko has broken a camera today. This camera seems to be a thing of a father. I laughed all the time. Today's rice was a straight spring roll and soup. It was delicious. I went to subway with a friend today since I returned to the school. I ate roast beef. We played cards with all the traces. I was happy. I was very strong. I cannot write a diary very much recently whether the reason is because I was tired. I intend, in addition, to write it properly from tomorrow.

August 10th

Fran taught me a way of the washing this morning. Then I washed it. Fran took me to the drive with her at half past ten. We went to the mountain. Scenery was very beautiful. At first we went to the free market. I bought two pieces of T-shirts. And we went to the lunch. I ate an American pizza. It was very delicious. I was entertained to franc. Thank you fran! Then fran took me to the good place of the scenery with franc very much and taught the name of the New Zealand island and the name of the bird. A friend of Simone came to play at night and talked happily. But I was not able to begin conversation. After all the English is difficult. I slept early today.

One week just passes after leaving in Japan by today. Everyone say they feel that all are fast but I feel for a long time. I was up at half past 6 and ate breakfast at 8:00, and fran sent me to Unitec today. It rained. In Unitec, there were Sanae, Erika, Shiori, Ayaka. And we went to downtown on the bus together. I joined Ms. Mukai in a bookstore and went to Newmarket. A building was very pretty. I bought a magnet and a key ring. I will use it with my younger sister. I bought sushi at noon. When I returned, I bought the cookie of the Manuka honey. The Beijing Olympics began from yesterday. But I do not look very much. Today's rice is a ram and rice. It was delicious. Good night.

August 8th

I prepared presentation at school today. However, I talked to a friend all the time. Though I went to a library at first and did study, I went to a cafe with the Keiko more. I was happy. The friend seems to go to Lynn Mall tomorrow. I decided to go with Sanae downtown. Simone said that she would see me to the Unitec tomorrow. It was good. The rice was a fish and Tips in the night of today. This seems to be cooking of the takeout which is best edible in New Zealand. Because I wanted to always eat this, I was glad. Fran　went to the most famous shop of the fish and chips to buy it. It was very delicious. I think that I surely gained weight because I ate a pancake, a fish and Tips, ice. Thank you for Fran and Simone.

August 7th

I went to school by bus for the first time today. I was very anxious. But I went to school together in peace because I met the person who went to the Unitec with a Japanese person when I waited for a bus. I went to the aquarium today. There were a lot of penguins. Though everyone bought a souvenir, I did not buy all here. It reached Parnell of the aquarium more. It seems to be an upper-class residential area here. The row of houses along a city street resembled the U.K. and was very pretty. I took a lot of photographs too. Parnell had a very famous chocolate shop. The Clinton woman seems to have said that the chocolate of here was the most delicious in the world. So, I bought milk and white there. I bought three porches of Marilyn Monroe in a general store. I intend to present it to a family. I came back to the school and I took a class and returned. I returned by bus. However, I was taken down at a bus stop of 1 ahead without knowing a timing to push the button of the stop. Though it was long to some houses, it was carried out a good activity.

August 6th

Today, I did’nt be late to school!! And we went to shopping mall. I bought “shop”. This is name of fashion magazine. I like Japanese fashion magazine better than New Zealand magazine. But this is cute. Today’s lunch was SUSHI!! A salmon and a avocado. This price was 7.5 dollars I thought little bit expensive, but I wanted to eat SUSHI-------!!!! I think it is the same to Japanese one. Soy sauce, ginger, the chopsticks entered together, too. And it was really delicious. There was the Food town in the shopping mall that I went today, and also there was sushi store. I went there first time today, and also I found that there is the sushi of the salmon and avocado held 80%. There was a fried pork cutlet scroll elsewhere. There was never the cuttlefish and the kite. However, everyone bought those sushi, and all were popular. The teacher in New Zealand said the Japanese food is more delicious than New Zealand food. Why will they think the cooking of one's country not to be delicious? I went to home and I and simone talked about magazine. So I gave to her Japanese magazine. This name is “PS”. She looks so happy, so I’m happy too!! She said “It’s cool!!” and ‘Japanese magazine is very fashionable”, and I asked her “Is it interesting?” and she said to me “ Really interesting”. Yeah!! Fran goes to the house of the friend today. The friend loses a husband last year and seems to feel lonely. Fran made a scone to me before leaving the house. It was very delicious, besides. She said to me that she will teach me a recipe next time. Raisin entered and was really delicious. The rice was meatball spaghetti in the night of today. Because I thought that a scone was rice at night, I was surprised. My favorite avocado entered and was very delicious. I told it about the preference of the man with somone in the night of today. August 5th

Today I was late for school 10 minutes because heavy traffic jam!!
We went to sky tower today. The sky tower is the highest tower in New Zealand, so I think it is like the Tokyo tower in Japan. I took a lot of photo at there. I could see Auckland view in top of here and I bought a lot of goods. For example, hand cream, body butter, body lotion, T-shirt, key-holder, post card and so on. I used 130 dollar in today’s shopping!! I thought I was the best use money person today. After that, we went to beach. I took a picture and talked with Mukai teacher.

Today, Simone picked me up with Arki. But Arki was hungry, tired and sleepy, so she was cried. Sorry, Arki!! She was sleeping as soon as we got home. And I also sleep to 6:30 today, because I really tired today.

Today’s meal was rice!! It was really delicious. My host family really good cook!!

BOOK REVIEW -Superdog-

Today, I read this book. This book's name is "Superdog". This cover designed that there are many car and people. And there is a yellow dog in the center. I think this is the superdog in this story.

This story started in the house with three people. This is family and they are watching TV now. There is a dog in the TV and the dog is running. It is show of the year of dogs. Mum said, "I love the way the dogs run so quickly." and "They seem to enjoy it, too." This dogs name is Pepper, and she ran quickly and didn't make a mistake. "I hope Pepper wins, " said Chips. I think Chips like this dog. The next dog was called Raffles. Kipper liked him more than Pepper. "I want Raffles to win," said Kipper. "Look how fast he can run." Everyone was excited as Raffles came to the end, but he didn't win. Pepper did.

Floppy was asleep on the floor. Biff pocked him with her toe. "Wake up, Floppy," she said. "Look at all these clever dogs on television. Why can't you do clever things like them?" I have a pet, but my dogs are not clever, so I feel this dog feel sorry. Floppy opened one eye. Then he yawned and went back to sleep.

In the next day, Biff, Chip and Kipper went outside to play. Wilf and Wilma came round. Floppy was fast asleep on the grass. I think this is really cute dog. And they asked each other about Dog of the Year Show. "I wonder if Floppy could do some of the things we saw on television," said Chip. Biff found a box. "Come on, Floppy," she said. "Let's see what you can do. Jump on this box. I think he thought that he is too old to do tricks!! I think it too!! The children made a course for Floppy. It had all kinds of things for him to run round or jump over. I think he also thought "Oh no!" At first, Floppy did quite well. But he soon got tired and fed up. He didn't like the way the children shouted at him all at the same time. and children told him that you are hopeless!!

Wilma's mum came round. She wanted to take everyone swimming. Kipper liked goings swimming with Wilma's mum. And she seems she always buys us an ice cream. Floppy was pleased, too. I think Floppy likes ice cream very much. Floppy is in Biff's room. He seems know that Biff and Chip wouldn't be back for a long time. He was almost asleep when something made him open one eyes. The magic key was glowing. Dogs don't have magic adventures by themselves, do they? The magic began to work. Floppy was in a big city. The city was full of people and traffic. Everyone was busy. There was noise everywhere. Floppy has never seen the big city, so he was surprised. he said "What a place!" Floppy explored the city. He came to a steep hill. A tram took people up and down the hill. He had never seen buses like these before. A lady went past with two dogs. "What funny dogs,"thought Floppy. "I've never seen dogs with coats on before." I think this dogs are poodle.

And an incident happens here. A baby has fallen down in a slope. Suddenly the pram moving. But then it began to move faster and faster. "Stop that pram!" someone shouted. The pram rolled out into the road. By now, it was going too fast for anyone to stop it. This baby's mother screamed "Oh no!, My baby will be killed. Do something, somebody." Floppy noticed it and thought "This looks like a job for me." Floppy ran after the pram and grabbed it with his teeth. He stopped it just in time. "Phew! That was a close thing," thought Floppy. Everyone came running up. "Did you see what that dog did?" shouted a man. "He is a hero," everyone cried. "He saved my baby!" said the mother. Everyone made a fuss of Floppy. "Did you see that dog?"people said. "He stopped a runaway pram." Everybody praised a floppy.

And then, a lady had her handbag with her shopping. she was looking at the baby in the runaway pram. suddenly, a thief grabbed the hand bag and ran away with it. "Help!"shouted the lady. "My handbag has gone." Floppy ran after the thief. The thilf tried to get over a wall, but Floppy was too quick for him. He grabbed the man by his trousers and the man dropped the handbag. "Got you!" growled Floppy. I also think this dog is hero. People made a fuss of Floppy. "This dog is a hero," someone shouted. This dog really is Superdog, said mam. "It was nothing," thought Floppy.

Floppy help the person who fell into the sea, and the activity of the floppy is not over afterwards either.

Everywhere Floppy went, people said, "There's Superdog! He's a hero." When Floppy crossed the road, all the cars stopped to let him across. "It's a Superdog!" shouted the car drivers.

After then, suddenly the magic key began to glow. It was time for Floppy's adventure to end. "I can't say I'm sorry," thought Floppy. Biff was cross when she found Floppy on her bed. "You know you mustn't sleep on the bed," she said. "What a bad dog you are, Floppy!" As for me, a difference had too much a floppy very much with time of the hero, and he felt feel sorry. Floppy jumped off the bed, and crept downstairs. "I don't know," he thought. "I'm a hero one minute, and a bad dog the next." It was very interesting and I laughed. The children took Floppy outside. "It's time to do the Dog og the Year course again," they said. Suddenly Floppy ran off. He jumped over the fence and ran away as fast as he could. "Come back, you bad dog," shouted Chip. I thought that Chip had bad character. Floppy ran into the park and hid indide a giant pipe. "They won't find me in here," he thought. "I don't want to be the Dog of the Year, and I'm not Superdog. I'm just me. I'm just a floppy old dog who wants a bit of peace."

It is an interesting story. I thought that it was the dog which the floppy was gentle, and was very good than I won the championship at the dog of the year.

December 9th -coming of age day-

Today is last time of writing class!! So it is last juppun ha juubun.

December 12 is coming of age day!!!!!! I'm looking forward to it. And in 11th, I'm going to decorate of nail. It is very intereting. I want to see my friends of high school, junior high school, also elementary school. I will take a lot of picture★ bye!!

December 19th -yesterday-

Yesterday, my sister, my sister's friends and I went to concert of NEWS. NEWS is Japanese famous singer group. I like they very much. It was really exciting!! They came to us to close, I was really happy!! I want to go their concert again!!

December 12th -money!!-

My payday is 5th. I was gaven a hundred thouand yen 5th in this month, but I already use that money!! Becuase I had to pay for airplane that I and my sister will use in February. It's 60 thousand yen. It is really far next payday.

December 5th -have a cold-

I had a cold... Really tired. But I worked hard yesterday, because of "bounenkai." A lot of business man drink and talk and talk now season. My next off of part-time job is next wednesday!! So I must need to more an effort.

my favorite sweets

One of my favorite sweets is a cream puff. In near my house, there are famous confectioneries. "Kiichigo" and "noji." Kiichigo is in Hikarinomori, and Noji is in Musashigaoka. So I sometime go there to buy a cream puff. Especially I like a cookie cream puff. The outside of it is "sakusaku"!! Really yummy!! I love it!!

Of course, there are a lot of other sweets I love. For example, a parfait, a tart, a cake, a pudding and ice cream. Haagen-Dazs and 31 are most famous ice cream maker in Japan. But these ice creams are little bit expensive!! We can get Haagen-Dazs ice cream in every convenient store. My favorite flavor is the Gateau chocolat!! If you like a chocolate, you must like it.

Today is my birthday!!!!!!
I'm 20 years old now!! But I forgot my cellphone in university yesterday... So I could'nt see my birthday mail yesterday!! I'm going to go to get it after this class finished.

I went to place of part time job yesterday. But it was really cold, so I went to there by car. And today is my also my part time job...

Nov 14th -Yesterday-

Recently, I'm very hungry everytime. Yesterday, I took my lunch to university, and I ate it. But I went to bakery after it with my friends, and I ate three bread!!! I'm breaking my weight record now. Wooooo!!

BOOK REVIEW -The Three Little Pigs-

This book's title is "The Three Little Pigs."

Three little pigs went out into the world. The first little pig met a man carrying straw. The pig asked him take some straw. And he built a straw house. One day a wolf came along and knocked on the door. And the wolf blew the house in and ate up the first little pig.
The second little pig met a man carrying sticks. he also asked take some sticks to build a house. He built a stick house. A wolf came the house again and he blew the house in.
The third little pig met a man carrying bricks. And he could get those bricks. He built a brick house. A wolf coming but he can't break the house. The wolf was angry and he jumped on the roof. He had a big pot of hot water in the fireplace. The little pig lifted the cover. The wolf fell into the pot. The little pig lived happily in his little brick house.

It was really interesting story. I have known this story before long time ago, but this was the first time I read this story in English.

BOOK REVIEW -Princess and the Pea-

This book's title is Princess and the Pea.

There once was a prince, who wanted to marry a princess. He met many many princesses!! But the prince sent all of them away. He can't meet real princess. One day there was a big storm. A princess knocked at the door. But her hair and dress was drippy. The princess went to bed on the twenty mattresses. Next day morning, she would be real princess because only princess could feel a pea under twenty mattresses!!

I think important thing to be real princess is really interesting.

BOOK REVIEW -The Pizza That We Made-

This book's title is "The Pizza That We Made."
Suzanne, Max and Jake make a pizza. They added the flour and they mixed it like ball. Next, they made the dough fly and spread in the pan. And they take it an oven. This pizza was really yummy!!

I could know how to make a pizza!! So I want to make it!!

BOOK REVIEW -corduroy makes a cake-

I read this book. The name is "Corduroy makes a cake."
The heroine is Lisa and Corduroy.
That day was Lisa's birthday, so Corduroy thought he makes Lisa a Corduroy Cake while Lisa went to school!! Corduroy put on an apron and a cook's hat.
He needed 1cake mix, 2cake pans, 2cans of pink frosting, 1bowl, 2eggs, 1cup of water. But he crashed a bag of flour. He opened the cake mix and dumped it into the bowl. And he added the eggs and water, then he turned on the mixer. But the butter hit the walls, floor and Corduroy. He said "this is fun!!" I really surprised at this words, because If I'm Corduroy I hate dirt my clothes. Then he put the batter into the pans, he found there was not enough batter, so he thought he need more cake mix. But there was no. Then he saw on the counter, there was a box. He looked inside and there was cake!! He was really surprised and happy because he don't need make one. But cake had nothing on it, so He wrote words on it. He thought he need practice, so He wrote on the tub and counter. But!! Somesbody coming!! He shut the door and hid under a shelf. And she was Lisa's mother. He had not made a cake for Lisa. But Lisa's mother was coming again, so Corduroy hid inside the box. And then, Lisa came home with her friends. She said "Where's Corduroy?" "Woo!! This box like a cake!!". And she opened the box and said "Corduroy!! I love my Corduroy cake!!". So Corduroy felt very proud.

This story was really nice. I think Lisa was happy to heart of Corduroy.

November 7th -Yesterday-

Yesterday was my payday of part time job!! I worked really hard last month, so I expected receive over a hundred thousand. When I went to my part time job place, I was called my name by the presidet, and I received a lot of money!! I surprised at an amount of money, because I received at one hundred seventy thousand yen!!!! I was really happy yesterday!!

My favorite place

My favorite place is Kumamoto Zoo!! There are a lot of animals and plants near the Ezuko. Suprisingly, there are 130 kinds of animals, for example bears, rhinoceros, birches, camel, deer, giraffes, cows, monkeys, kangaroos, elephants and so on. And in fall, a lot of cosmoses are really beautiful.

Moreover, there are a lot of playground equipment, for example a Ferris wheel, a teacup merry-go-round, mirror house and so on, so it is good to go there as family and young children.

And in Touch Ai land, we can touch the animal, for example sheep, goats and chickens. They are really cute!! Please go there !!

October 24th -yesterday-

I'm going on diet now, because I'm going to be taken pictures of coming of age day. Every girls are going to not be taken pictures in coming of age day, because they will not able to have enough time, so they are going to be taken pictures before that day. I'm going to be taken pictures in November 1st!! Coming soon!! The diet is really difficult......
