September 26th -New part time job-

I had a new part time job on this month. This is a MOTSUNABE restaurant. Do you know a motsu? This is a guts!! It is really nice!!
I'm going to go to there because today is the opening day of the restaurant!! We could give a lot of reservations already. I think that I must be busy today, but I'm going to work harder!!

August 4th -The first day in Unitec-

Today, we did orientation in Unitec. Fran made a lunch for me today. We were gave a English test to separate class. And after that we did Yes or No Quiz and Ambassador and Reporter game with Yvonne. She is our English teacher in Unitec. And the another teacher is Michele.

When I came back home, Simone’s older sister was in home. I talked with her a long time. I asked her what I must buy souvenir for my friends and family. And she said “manuka honey and maori’s necklace is most famous souvenir in New Zealand”. I want to buy these things!!

I sent to e-mail to my family today. Fran has a PC, so she said to me that you can use it anytime. I want to send a mail at least once a week.

August 3rd -Auckland-

I arrived at Auckland in 10 o’clock in this morning. But I spent a long time in airplane and ate terrible foods, so I was really tired. I came across an amusing happening in Auckland airport. Sanae who is one of my friends planed that she make a OKONOMIYAKI for her host family, so she had flour. And she was asked by a customs examiner when she went through the customs “Do you have anything food”. Sanae said “I have flour”. And a customs examiner said “What’s kind of flower?” She said “No!! flour!!”. “…OK. Please go over there”. And she went to place of plant judgment. I was of course OK. And Erika lost baggage, so I lent some clothes to her.

In Unitec, our host mothers came there at 1:30 pm. So we talked with our friends by them. But some host mother already came, and everyone was nervous. But I was not nervous. At 1:30, my host mother Frances came for me!! She looks like really kind, so I fell relieved. In her car, we talked about her granddaughter. I asked her “How is your granddaughter?” also I said to her “ I’m very excited to meet your granddaughter.” And Fran said “she is very very crazy”.

I arrived at host family’s house and I was really surprised at my room was very large and clean!! The bath and toilet were in my room, and there was double bed!! I thought this room like a hotel!!

I was little bit tired, but I thought that first day was really important, so I talked more to Fran. Fran’s daughter Simone and her daughter Arki came back home after a short time. Really cute!! I took a lot of photo.

I went to shopping with Fran, Simone and Arki. This shopping center was like a Youme town in Kumamoto. I was really surprised at there was a sushi store. And this shopping center sold a PAINOMI and a POCKY, but these were more expensive than Japan. I think about three times. I was asked that my favorite foods by Fran, so I said “I like ice-cream very much!!”. And she bought ice-cream for me!! This ice-cream’s name is hokey pokey. This is the most famous ice-cream in New Zealand. There are maple candies in vanilla ice-cream. It’s really yummy!! Today, Simone cooked meal for us. I ate delicious chicken and potato. New Zealand people ate potato almost every day like rice in Japan. And they don’t say “itadakimasu” and “gochisousamadeshita”. After that I went to bath room and I went to bed at 9 pm. Good night!! August 2nd -Go to New Zealand-

I went to New Zealand from today!!!!! We had to gather in Kumamoto Gakuen University, so I got up at 4 o’clock. We must to pack a suitcase with many things under 20kg. However heavy of my suit case was already 16kg!! The woman in Fukuoka airport said me “Attention when you came back here.” First, we went to Fukuoka by bus, after that we went to Singapore airport by airplane, after that we went to Auckland airport by airplane. Foods in airplane were really bad… I exchanged Japanese money to New Zealand money. I bought a map of Auckland in Singapore airport by credit card, and I ate a Nikuman and an egg tart by credit card. A toilet in Singapore airport was really cute and large!!! I was surprised at this. At tomorrow, I’m going to arrive at Auckland★ (142)
